Environmental Organization
The Friends of Forest Club is an environmental organization with its headquarters in Lamia, Central Greece, and its main activities are the protection of the forest ecosystem and in general the environment protection in the prefecture of Fthiotida, the formation of the environmental consciousness, the research, the discussion and the information concerning the forest problems and the ecological crisis.
In the framework of these activities they place the fire protection and the fire fighting volunteer organization during the summer months, organizing events and discussions, planting trees, clearing the forests and the beaches, paper recycling and finally a publication of a bimonthly newspaper concerning environmental issues titled “DRYAS”
