The honey festival of Nikiti
The objective of the festival is to promote the history, the rural tradition and the cultural heritage of this land, to highlight the quality characteristics of honey as well as the benefits its daily use incurs and, finally, to familiarize interested parties with the secrets not only of the substance in question but also of other bee products, such as the pollen, the royal jelly and the propolis.
Moreover, visitors have the chance to taste the rarest honey varieties in Greece and savour traditional sweets made of honey.
