Thermal springs – Loutraki
The Spa Center Loutraki is 40 km. away from Edessa It is situated in a wonderful area of about 2.400 sq.km. Nature has given to this place a marvelous mountain with open hand, which forms a natural ravine and hot water springs gush out from the river “Toplitsa”, creating riverbeds and small waterfalls.
The Spa Center has the appropriate infrastructure and facilities such as swimming pools, private baths, an Olympic sized pool, an outdoor swimming pool for all the ages but also plenty of bridges and small pathways all through the area. There is a forest pathway by the riverbank for relaxed and pleasant walks. The caves around the area have evidence of human presence since Neolithic period. The finds are housed in the Physiographical Folklore Museum at the Spa Center. The visitors can easily find places to stay.
