Traditional House “Meli” in Lefkada
Meli is a stone mansion officially recognized as a preserved building. It combines vacations close to nature away from noise and crowds, yet very close to the beach as it is located in Dragano, a quiet mountainous village, only a short drive away from some of the most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean (Porto Katsiki, Egremni, Gialos).
During its recent restoration, the owners have taken extreme care in preserving its authenticity and its traditional characteristics both outdoors and indoors, as they decorated it with antique items that used to be of daily use by the tenants of the residence, carrying memories that date back to the 19th century.
The mansion is rented primarily as a whole, but it may also be rented by room at certain periods of the year. It has three independent and spacious bedrooms tastefully decorated with light colours and antique pieces. When rented as a whole, with the sole use of a fully equipped rustic kitchen, dinning room and living room with an inviting fireplace, it can accommodate up to nine guests.
The village is surrounded by mountains and as a result it offers endless choices for walking through rich vegetation, forests and dirt roads. Mountain biking is an excellent alternative for those feeling more adventurous (bikes provided).
Meli is an ideal getaway for guests yearning for a unique holiday experience replete with tranquillity, comfort and relaxation but, most importantly, for a truly out of the ordinary retreat.
